But, we are not the only ones who are affected by our active lives. Our little ones tag along on endless runs, suffer through monster treadmill sessions and give up time on their vacations, so that we can do what we love. And it's about time that we thank them. That's where Training Tag-Alongs comes in.
Training Tag-Alongs is a Richmond-based apparel company that recognizes the dedication, support (and tolerance!) your little one has for your exercise addiction! Here's how the company was started,
"When the founder's pride and joy arrived in May of 2005, she didn’t let the trials of motherhood stand in the way of fitness. She picked up a jogging stroller and pounded the pavement. Through heat, rain and snow, her son was always along for the ride. Less than a year later, she qualified for the Boston Marathon with a blistering-fast 26.2 miles in Virginia Beach. It was in Beantown, after a fruitless search for a souvenir for her favorite training partner, that the Training Tag-Alongs concept was born! Now, with the help of the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing (a.k.a. “husband”) and Vice President of Product Testing (a.k.a. “son”), Training Tag-Alongs boasts a wonderfully unique and creative collection of T-shirts, stickers, and bibs."
Here are just a few of the adorable designs available.
Now, thanks to the great people at Training Tag-Alongs, three lucky readers will win their choice of one of these shirts for their training tag-along. (All of my girls have worn the "Marathoner In Training" shirt, which has been a big hit with my gang). PLUS, an additional 10 readers will win a 26.2 mile marker sticker (see picture above).
So, do you want to know how to enter? (One Comment Per Entry Please!!)

ReplyDeleteI like:
ReplyDelete1. You just got passed by a girl.
2. Triathelete in training
3. Running is the new soccer.
I added it to my giveaway list... at #1... okay it is the only one listed for this week!
ReplyDeleteI think both of my tag-a-longs would appreciate these shirts. It would help them feel a part of what I was doing away from them... and when they job with me... we can be a united team.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I'm gonna have to get 2 to headoff the fighting that would ensue with just one!

ReplyDeleteWhen the weather is nice, I usually end a run at the park so T Junior can run around and play. :) Or, I try to balance the day. If we run in the morning, then after his nap we'll go do something for him, like the library or an indoor play area (if it's raining).
ReplyDeleteI like the running is the new soccer.

ReplyDeleteAfter my Tag-along spends the time so patiently in the stroller, I spend extra time with him running around in the yard. It is my cool down time, but he doesn't know that. It's mommy play time.

ReplyDeleteI went to the website and really like the "Mom's favorite training partner" shirt! My second favorite was the "are we there yet" shirt!
ReplyDeleteI am already a facebook fan of yours!
ReplyDeleteI show them I appreciate them by being enthusiastic about them wanting to be involved and curious. I want to set a good example and that really is the best thing I can do for them.
ReplyDeleteEspecially over the winter I have enjoyed them coming down to the basement to hang with me while I run on the treadmill. They love to come chat and show me things.
I try and spend more time with them after a run when I have been away and they love to ask questions about it.
This summer I will get to use the jogger again and my 2 year old loves to go for rides!
OOOH! I think the Marathoner in training would be PERFECT for my little girl! :)

My tag-along races with me whenever I can. There are some races that he will ask to do because there is a kids' run. It's hard to say no to a child who wants to be active and wants me to run at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAnd, my tag-alongs usually get most of my swag. Big tees are great for sleeping in.
I love the "You just got passed by a girl"! and Mommy's favorite tag-alongs.
ReplyDeleteI am already a fan of your blog and Facebook page!
Not in it for the prize, since I don't have a little one, but those sure are cute!!

ReplyDeleteI show S & D how much I appreciate them by allowing them days that I focus on their exercise. As many times as they have "tagged along" on my runs, SS classes, etc. I do the same by watching their every moves at CORE and every chance we get to play outside. I want them to know how important exercise is to me and hopefully showing them support while they do exercise will help it become a natural part of their lives.
ReplyDeleteI like the marathoner in training shirt and the My mommy race a marathon (and the name of the marathon) I am running my 1st marathon in October and me and 2 of my friends have been trying to decide what to have our little ones wear when we race. I will have to share this website with them.
ReplyDeletethanks!
My little boy is 17mos and is everything to me!!! I actually began running after I had him as a way to get myself healthy and to raise my son knowing that he has a healthy mommy, and hopefully he will in turn live a healthy lifestyle. He is my motivation every day to get out there and make healthy choices, and to finish that run, no matter how much is hurts! He is always there for me to cheer me on when I cross the finish line. He will be there for my first 1/2 in April and in Chicago for mommy's first marathon. I can't wait!!!
ReplyDeletealready a follower -- thanks for the opportunity!!
ReplyDeleteI show my little supporters how much I appreciate them by incorporating them into my training and my runs. They "train" with me and my daughter competes in the kids races. I'm showing them how to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I reward them with healthy treats.
ReplyDeleteI like "Mommys Official Training Partner" TOO CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of your blog already but I don't really need an entry. Just wanted to comment how cute these shirts are!! Too bad I don't have any kids to put them on ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a newer follower & just became a fan. I'll link to your giveaway on my next post tomorrow. The shirts are so cute. I'd be thrilled with any of them but I think my daughter would love the you got passed by a girl.
ReplyDeleteOh & how I reward them. For my 4 yr old I turned my workout room into a workout/play room where she gets to play with special toys when I run on the treadmill. She loves it! AND I love it because it keeps her busy :-)
Those shirts are so cute, I would go with the "Mom's official training partner" one.
ReplyDeleteAnd a FB fan.

ReplyDeleteMy tag along thinks it is hilarious that I run in the first place. We actually entered a race as a family and he rode in the BOB - he loved this so much!
ReplyDeleteI make sure that he has special trips to the park on days that he has to ride in the stroller during training days to help him know how much I appreciate his patience.
I'm a new follower. I think your blog is really cute. Glad njoy linked to it :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a little one, but one of my best friends has a baby boy who would look adorable in the green "are we there yet" shirt.
