so close ...

NYC Marathon - The short and sweet of it.

I finished.

I missed a PR by 8 seconds.

I ran .66 further than 26.2 miles finishing in 4:15:56.

When my watch clicked to the marathon distance it read 4:09:26, 6:22 faster than at National in March (which is all that matters to me).

I'm not even one bit disappointed.

I've got 5 days to recover before I tackle the Richmond Marathon on Saturday.

It sounds like you did a lot of weaving through those big crowds. I would say you ROCKED it. Great job. Happy (and speedy) recovery!

Look at you! You look fantastic. PR SHMER! If you can run that fast on NYC then you can rock it at another marathon. NYC is hard :)
