This is great info. I also wanted to add that Amby Burfoot (editor of runners world) in his new book points to evidence that women who run through pregnancy have babies with higher IQs. The only advice my doctor gave me was to watch my heartrate. So I did try to run during my first pregnancy but was so slow (to keep my heartrate lower) that I hated it and biked (stationery) instead. My first experience trying was so negative that I didn't even think about running with #2. Of course, this made getting back into it harder - but I feel that one reason I'm still running today is due to the breaks I had both times.
I'm so impressed with the gals who are able to stick with it. (Well, except for the 10 weeks or so where I felt like a-s-s. But I started back up with no issue. And that first time I had bleeding issues and was afraid. Though I bled even more with the second and wasn't afraid. So who knows. I guess I got more comfortable with it the second time? I digress.)

Sadly, I had serious bladder issues and that is why I stopped when I did each time. It really is amazing to me how something so small (I am only 11 weeks) can drain so much energy. But I plan to keep running as much as I can and fall back on the elliptical when my legs feel too much like lead. It is so helpful to read about other people who have remained highly active during pregnancy.
