That bike path is gorgeous and it was a great morning!

I left for Newport that afternoon and had a bunch of wedding stuff to do, so I couldn't meet up again, but I am so happy I got to run into you even briefly!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05628899868071320931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3732829991335734426.post-92175546362106359812011-08-21T20:00:53.831-04:002011-08-21T20:00:53.831-04:00You'll soar in NYC... with those cool conditio...You'll soar in NYC... with those cool conditions, the miles will just tick by! :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09771758178064698651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3732829991335734426.post-47174410943778527102011-08-20T13:38:44.557-04:002011-08-20T13:38:44.557-04:00Your marathon - which will be in cool temps - bett...Your marathon - which will be in cool temps - better look out!!!Marlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08230997094889375925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3732829991335734426.post-580454678340036712011-08-20T00:34:52.218-04:002011-08-20T00:34:52.218-04:00Hey girl,

I live in Phoenix, and am training for my first full marathon in January (late bloomer, I've been running for about 7 years, but wanted to enjoy the process). I had the. most. awful. nine mile run last weekend - by the time I hit 6 miles it was 95 degrees and 40% humidity - and have been feeling bad about it all week. I *know* that things will be better when it cools down, but it can get to you mentally. I do understand the physiology behind it though.

Either way, that's awesome that you found confidence on a Rhode Island run. Having done the New England Relay with ZERO idea of what to expect or how to pace it, I will admit that even that last leg when you're running half asleep and you think you're going a 12:00 pace, you'll hit the finish line and find out you're quite speedy!

My biggest suggestion is stretch whenever possible. Sitting in the car for long periods was the worst aspect of my race.

I can't wait to read the multiple race reports I'm sure that will come of this race!!!Kurt @ Becoming An Ironmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13865313303891773591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3732829991335734426.post-59638577138503342142011-08-19T09:07:24.550-04:002011-08-19T09:07:24.550-04:00Way to rock it!!!
