breaking through to double digits ...

I just want to start by saying thank you to Mucinex DM for being so AWESOME. I actually slept last night. And on this morning's run, I BARELY coughed (well, after the first mile anyway).

But this post isn't really about me. I just wanted to give a little bloggy love to my running buddies, Alex and Alyssa (both members of Team Run Like A Mother). For the very first time today, they ran 10 miles. Previously, Alex had only gone seven and Alyssa's furthest was eight and a half (on a day that she was sick and I wouldn't let her stop. Yeah, I'm a good friend like that).

They rocked it! Here we are post-run. (Me, Alyssa, Alex and Courtney)

We finished in 1:46:46 and now they can both be confident heading into the Cherry Blossom 10 miler on April 11. Congrats ladies. I was happy to rock it with you!

And don't forget to check out my GIVEAWAY!

  6. Great job Alex and Alyssa, and yes, you are a good friend to help them get there. I'm doing CB also--I was just checking out the cherry trees this a.m. to see if there are any signs of buds yet. I'm hoping they'll be peaking at the race.
