Run Naked Giveaway ...

I want you to Run Naked.

Got your attention, didn't I?

OK, so I don't really want you to run without your clothes on. If for no other reason than it's getting really cold outside and I don't want you to get frostbite. (There are other reasons too, but I'm sure you can figure those out yourself.)

So, you probably want to know what I mean, right? Well, it's simple. I want you to be seen when you run. And a surefire way to do that is to Run Naked.

Run Naked Sports is an apparel company, attempting to make reflective gear more fashion forward and fun. Here's what they have to say ...

"Why Run Naked? Comfort. Freedom. Safety.

When you are running in low light conditions, bits of reflection on your shoes usually doesn’t cut it. Reflector vests can seem like a punishment of discomfort. Reflection will only protect us if we wear it. Run Naked Sports is making reflection fun.

Be seen. Be free. Be safe."

What more could a runner want?

Personally, I run at least half of my weekly miles in the dark. I already don a headlamp, but I'm not about to wear a reflective vest. It's just not my style. So, when I stumbled upon Run Naked Sports, I was pumped. Simple designs. Extreme visibility. A match made in heaven. I wanted to Run Naked.

So, I contacted Joan (the woman behind Run Naked Sports), who greeted me with fantastic customer service and was nice enough to let me test her product. She sent me the women's short sleeve tee (black) in a large (medium would have fit, but I sized up since I fell between sizes). Here I am before an early morning run, last weekend (I tried my best to keep the reflection to a minimum for the picture) ...

Super cute, right?

I can not speak highly enough of this shirt. It is ultra-comfortable (I've been wearing it when I'm not running, too). And it is MASSIVELY reflective. The slightest bit of light is all it takes for you to be seen. And that's something we all NEED as the days get shorter and shorter.

Now, for the fun stuff.

Thanks to Joan at Run Naked Sports, ONE lucky reader will win their own Run Naked tee (available in both Men's and Women's cut). Here's how to enter (separate comments please!):

  2. I haven't bought any reflective gear...so I really haven't run in low-light conditions. I could definitely use something!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Right now I dont run in the dark because I dont have anything reflective!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Right now, I'm actually not very safe...I just try and wear a bright color...I have a reflective vest that was given to me, but I refuse to wear it like you!

  5. I like the athletic gray women's shirt.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I currently just take a flashlight with me and don't think too much about reflective gear. Oops.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I like the light blue or black woman's tee.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I currently wear a Brooks jacket the most. I do wear a vest when it is pitch black. I also have a cap with a light.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think I'd have to go with black since it looks so slick on you!

  10. Honestly, I am not so good with dressing safely in the dark. I don't own a headlamp, I don't own a vest. Some of my clothes have reflective elements but not enough.

I'm fortunate to usually be running with people in the dark so I just try to stick with someone who is all lit up. :)

  11. I'm torm b/w the gray or the black...

    ReplyDelete
  12. After almost getting hit last year by a driver not paying attention at all I wear a lot of reflective stuff and even have a headlamp I wear on the really dark nights.

  13. I don't have any reflective gear, so I just wear the same ol' same ol' in low light conditions. This means I've had to change my routine since the time has changed! I used to come home after work, chill for a few, then head out and run from my house. Now I have to take my running clothes to work with me, change there, and head straight into town where there are streetlights and run there.

  14. I would pick the light blue shirt.

    ReplyDelete
  15. When I run in the dark I wear a white shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve depending on weather). If it is really cold I wear my dark blue windbreaker that does have some reflective strips on it...not enough for me to really be seen and I wear a blinking LED light (that I got at the Pittsburgh 1/2 marathon in my goody bag) on the arm band of my ipod.
