oh, to be five ...

Most little kids are thankful for their mom and dad, their pets and maybe even their favorite toys. But not my kid. Here are the four things Dizzle is most thankful for ...

Yup, that's right.

FLOWERS. BUTTERFLIES. THE SUN. OUR HOUSE.

Apparently, Dizzle is borderline hippie and I just didn't know it. I mean, if she wasn't going to choose her family as her favorite thing, couldn't she at least have chosen her running shoes? I'd get that choice ...

All joking aside, I am very thankful for the things in my life too. And I am especially thankful that this time tomorrow we will be en-route to Disney. We are about to surprise our girls with the ultimate Christmas present and will be making memories to last a lifetime. Memories that I will share here. Eventually. Like after we return ...

So, until then, may you all have a Merry Christmas!

ENJOY! What a wonderful surprise.

I love her answers - she clearly appreciates the little things in life.

When my boys were young I took them out of school for a day in the middle of Feb - loaded them in the car - and headed up to WI Dells - to an indoor water park. I didn't tell them where we were headed. It wasn't until we pulled into the resort that they put it all together. It was a wonderful surprise and break from the COLD WI weather.

Peace and Joy

Cherish the kid that is thankful for a butterfly instead of a PSP. :)

That IS the ultimate surprise present! THE ULTIMATE! Have fun and please take a ton of pics for sharing. This has been on my list of things to do with my little ones...and a surprise is a perfect idea.
Ummm requesting a pic of the look on their faces when they figure it out.

Nothing is better than seeing their faces when they get an awesome surprise. We surprised our daughter (then 2) with a playroom last Christmas and I can remember perfectly the look on her face when she saw it. Enjoy yourselves! :)

Love it. Reminds me of my middle child, Lily.

Have a great trip to Disney. My kids are getting tickets to Disney for Christmas too... but the trip doesn't happen until February when the Princess Half happens! Can't wait to see photos when you capture the girls' faces when you tell them where you are going!

I am so jealous!

I have been begging my husband to take the kids and he says no. Not because it is too expensive. Not because it is too far, but because it is not necessary - they do not need to be there. UGH!

And let me know how it is wih the budget for a family---it looks totally doable, but I'm so curious about hardcore numbers. Hope you'll share or email or comment or wahtever!
