Three Things Thursday ...

Big Hair - So, you might say that I have the opposite of big hair. Even when my shaved head is grown in, my hair is on the thin side. However, my lovely sister, who is visiting us this week and dyed my hair pink, is pretty much the definition of big hair. Her hair is super long, ultra thick and crazy curly.

After she finished bleaching my hair, we had the great idea to dye the underside of her hair blonde. We thought it would look great, but turned out to be less than stellar. So, yesterday, I dyed her hair back to dark brown. The thing is that she had to comb out her hair so that I could dye it. Have you ever seen big hair combed out? It's not pretty. It kind of looks like this.

Yeah, I laughed at her a lot.

Rhode Island - We are headed back to Rhode Island this weekend for a friend's wedding. Due to fantastic planning, her wedding happens to fall on the same day as the Newport Half Marathon. Coincidentally, there was a Groupon for this race a few months back.

Hello, fate.

I registered and am planning to crush this race on Sunday. I've got a kicka** outfit from Lululemon and a sweet bib number (3828). Plus there was that awesome 16 miler I ran two weeks ago, it's going to be good ...

Mileage - In the last 6 days, I have run 54 miles. And I'm already at 108 miles in October. Can you say peak marathon training?

I NEVER brush out my hair...ever. That photo gave me flash backs of when my mom would experiment on my hair (she's a beautician).

No doubt that fate is at work and you will rock that race!

Sweet mileage! With my a.m. fails I'm a bit under.

It's amazing how brushing out her hair can make it so horriffic compared to how gorgeous it is in the first picture.

I am loving your pink hair! You rebel! :)

I have a friend that has hair like that.

Hahahaaaa. #1 has hair just like that. She's SUPER sensitive about it, too. It melts her down if you say ANYTHING about how big her hair is. Which makes it, automatically, #2's favorite hobby.

KILL IT this weekend!!!

Very impressive! It sort of reminds me of that episode of Friends when Monica's hair kept getting bigger and bigger in the humidity. She had NOTHING on your sister though! ;(

Holy hair batman! :)

And holy running miles lady! I love it!

I have super big, frizzy hair too. I keep it super short now, like Halle Berry short cause it was too much to deal with.

Great mileage this week/month! You will rock it this weekend!

Oooooo my goodness you are so going to rock that race this weekend. It is going to be quite a story. I can't wait!! Go get it!!!

The Newport HM will be destroyed by you and your pink hair and your kicka** outfit. You will be triumphant. Just make sure you get your trophy before you leave town cuz once you leave, they will NEVER give it to you... we learned that the hard way, 'member?

GO, T!

Loving reading your blog for the first time! Funny thing, my sis and I both have SO much curly hair too, it takes every product in the world to tame and straighten mine!
