So, yesterday, my feisty four-year-old once again proved that she is a teenager trapped in a child's body. We were sitting at the breakfast table and unhappy with the meal I had provided, she turned to me and said, "If you love me, you will give me what I want!"
I laughed and replied, "Well, I guess I don't love you enough then, because you are getting what you have." Then she hit me with the "eye roll." Isn't four a little young for so much attitude? Seriously, what I am going to do when all three of them are teenagers?

This is why I have sons -- someone somewhere knew that daughters would be the death of me. Great comeback!
It sounds just like my 4 year old! I cringe just thinking about the teenage years...
That conversation sounds WAY too familiar! At least we are not alone.
Oh my goodness!! So funny! The reasoning of a 4 yr old!!
LOL! Great comeback and good luck! :)
Oh my goodness, I have your 4 year old's twin at my house. They have quite the attitude but are so funny aren't they?
ooohthat's sooo cute!!! ... you can tell I don't have kids- I'm sure when I do I won't find that nearly as cute. But in the mean time... awwww!!
It's cute now but when you can see what's coming you wonder how you'll survive. Mine is 8 going on 28!
LOL, cute!
Well, you can always sell them on eBay for profit when they hit their teens. Of course I am kidding but my older one is 20 now and she put me through hell during her teenage years so, honestly, I often felt like going on eBay … but it does get better, they go back to their normal selves after having gone wild for a while.
And 4 IS a difficult age, they are more creative now and will try to test all limits, just like teens… when my daughter was 4 she would often say to me “Why are you doing this to ME”? and then as a teen her favorte line was “You don’t understand”
RUNAGAIN! I am always threatening to sell my kids on e-bay! That's hilarious, I thought I was the only one!
But seriously T, wait till she's 10 and THIS seems so long ago that you long for that simple attitude.
omgosh LOVE the eye roll :)
thanks for the comment!!! glad to find your blog :)
My niece is turning 4 this year and I can totally hear her saying that! ahhh, kids!
Welcome to 5 more years of eye roll. Sooo annoying.
Sorry, I've been on your other blog by mistake, I guess, wondering where the posts were. Got it down now.
Happy weekend!!! :)
