and it's out ...

The night before I left for Seattle, Dizzle realized that she had a loose tooth. She was so excited. All I kept hearing was, "I CANNOT BELIEVE I HAVE MY FIRST LOOSE TOOTH!" Over and over again.

But that excitement was nothing compared to what is going on right now. Because at 5:30 p.m., Dizzle lost her FIRST tooth.
She is so proud. And incredibly adorable, if I do say so myself ...

(Note: We do realize that the gap between her front teeth is nearly as large as the gap made my the missing tooth. We think of it as "room to grow.")

Did you already take her school pictures for this year? If not, always a great shot with missing front teeth! lol

Aw, the first lost tooth! And trust me when I say she'll appreciate that "room to grow" coming from someone that didn't have that room!

Congratulations to her!

I was the kid who refused to let them go (and generally had to get someone else to pull it out for me). Hopefully my son is like his father - he worked out 4 teeth on a two hour ferry ride (and they weren't even loose yet - ick!).

Way to go Dizzle. Think of all that cash the tooth fairy will be bringing her!

Love the kid stories :) They remind me of when mine were that age.

Our dentist LOVED that our kids have big spaces between their baby teeth - lots of room for the new bigger ones to come in without crowding.

Congrats Dizzle! I wonder what the tooth fairy is bringing?? My kids totally think The Rock is the real tooth fairy.

The 6 y/o has a string tied to the front door because she said if the newest loose one isn't out on it's own tomorrow, she's taking care of business herself!

Yay to Dizzle! Is the tooth fairy coming?? :)

The east coast tooth fairy should think about getting some of those gold dollar coins...they've been a hit at our house from the west coast TF.

Congrats to Dizzle!! So exciting...I can't wait to hear about how she reacts to the Tooth fairy! I had a VERY similar space in my front teeth...my kid pics are pretty cute...it all worked out in the end!!

If we ever have kids, they are SCREWED in the tooth department. They will literally have to fall out of their heads because neither me nor my husband have the stomach to pull them ourselves. I would always faint as a kid when I lost mine.

How much does the tooth fairy leave these days?

Congrats! And that gap is nothing to worry about until those "adult" teeth grown in. :)

Yeah! Another milestone!

The gaps in her teeth are actually benefical (you may already know this. My sister works with a dentist) All that "extra" room will potentially keep her from needing braces later in life since her "adult" teeth will be larger than the "baby" ones. You are very lucky...or should I say Dizzle is very lucky!

Will the tooth fairy bring her something good?
