Dear P90X ...

Dear P90X,

I know we've been seeing each other for a whole two weeks now, but I have to tell you, you're coming on kind of strong. I mean, really. You just expect me to drop everything six nights a week to be with you. What about my other loves? Like reality TV? And ice cream? And my husband? Am I just supposed to end things with them? Are we exclusive? Because I didn't get that memo.

And can we just talk for a second about how you are fatiguing me for all of my runs? It's not easy to squeeze in 30 miles a week when you keep coming at me with all of that "this is the X" crap. And don't even get me started on Ab Ripper.

OK, maybe I am overreacting. Maybe you are going to make me a stronger runner. Maybe I'll get abs of steel and biceps to kill for. I mean, isn't that what you promise? Don't worry, I'm not leaving you. At least not for the next 10 weeks, but I swear if you don't deliver, I'm going to write nasty stuff about you on the Internet for all of the free world to read. Consider yourself warned.

Your follower,
Tonia

Ugh. You're a stronger woman than I am. I gave up on it after 3 weeks! I still do a modified routine with arms and AbRipperX (I LOVE it!) but dropped the Plyo, Kenpo, and legs. Plyo always scares me- jumping around like an idiot- I am afraid I'll break something! The yoga is great. If you have 1.5 hours to kill.
But seriously. You're doing awesome! Keep it up! :)

Hang in there! All of my friends who have tried it gave up after the first week or two, but most were inactive to begin with. Good luck! You can do it!

T - are you doing Lean or Classic? I have did both and reallly felt in the groove after week 3. But I will say I was glad I did Lean first. I heart Tony, it was like we were dating.

You are hard core to keep at it with running on top!! Any signs of success yet?

I just finished week 2 also. It's definately a new commitment in my life but one that I REALLY want to be commited to.

Like you, I find it hard to run after P90X. Maybe I should run first and then X it, but that would cut into MY shows like Biggest Loser, Top Model, DWTS and Dog the Bounty Hunter. :)

I feel you pain (literally and figuratively)

I feel much the same about Cathe's STS. It's 3 days/week, and I'm tired frequently. I'm totally like "how am I possibly going to be able to keep this up until AUGUST?" (I'm on the 6 month program) and then I get excited because I AM stronger. It's a love/hate thing.

Ugh! I am impressed you are so dedicated. I would probably be saying, "nope, interfering too much, sorry." Keep up the good work.

I have heard from friends that P90X takes up your whole life. And that after you do it, all you want to do is lay around the rest of the day.

If you are running on top of that -- that's intense. So give yourself props. That's HARDCORE.

Just make sure to make time for your hubby ;)

You seriously may be the toughest woman I know. You have all kinds of respect from me. I can remember my attempt this fall at P90X while running. One round of the family catching the flu and I still haven't started it back up.
Seriously girl, you are one.fit.mama!

you're awesome.

as you know I modify mine. I skip the kempo and take two days off a week instead of just the one. Ab ripper X and yoga are awesome and I love Plyo but if I "bring it" I pay for it unfortunately in my running. Hopefully it will balance out soon for me too!

Watching and learning!

Seriously? I have to wait another 10 weeks for a review? Hmmm....
So far, do you think it's worth it?
Keep it up girly - you are an inspiration with cross training!

I am still amazed that your are RUNNING 30 MILES/WEEK and doing P90X. I think when you're done you should tell Beach Body your story. Most people just do P90X by itself and still can't even do 6 days/week. You're really tempting me to BRING IT, but I SO HATE workout DVDs and that guy is kind of annoying - plus my basement, where I do workout DVDs, is depressing.

LOL! I'm so glad you are finding this challenging. If you were finding it easy and knocking out 30 miles easily, I'd feel like even more of a slacker than I already do. ;o)

LOL!! He better pay attention to your threats!!

funny i start reading your blog today.. received a mysterious package in the mail today. p90x .. "beach body" it says on the outside.. tried to convince the UPS guy it wasn't mine. But then he points out that it is clearly addressed to my roomie Nolan, though he swears he didn't order it. we still haven't figured out who it was.. but i guess someone wants us to get in shape before our wedding!! i'm scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard you took the RRCA class, that's sooo cool. I took it a couple years ago.

I just asked my brother if I can borrow his. Maybe I should reconsider, expecially since I didn't know what to say when he asked: "All twelve discs?"

Ha ha ha..this post is hilarious! Good for you for sticking with it. I've heard great things about it and am tempted to try it, but with my tri training I don't think I have any extra time to do it. Maybe this fall after my Half Ironman is over! By then, you'll be done and I'll know how you liked/disliked it!
