RoadID. More than just ID?

Last night, while waiting a painfully long time for the girls to finish their dinner, Doodle and I had a conversation. It went a little something like this ...

Doodle: (noticing my new purple RoadID) "Why'd you get a purple one? Why'd you want all the colors?" (Yes, I have multiple RoadIDs).

Me: "Because I thought that it was pretty."

Doodle: "I want a purple one too. I want to match you. When are you getting me one?"

Me: "I don't know. Maybe next week."

Doodle: "THAT'S TOO LONG! Get it in ONE WEEK!"

Me: "Doodle, we'll see. Why do you need one?"

Doodle: "To run."

Me: "Well, Daddy has a black one. Do you want a black one to match him or a purple one to match me?"

Doodle: "I want a purple one so I can run really faster than Daddy."

Huh? So apparently, a RoadID is more than just safety gear. It also functions as a turbo-booster.

CRYING I'm laughing so hard!!! Hilarious! Reminds me of that video.... "Maybe you should train?" "I have the newtons, with the newtons I will be at the front of the pack". Well, maybe with a purple Road ID I could be at the front of the pack too.

Classic! I have a blue one that I love and my oldest son Sam picked out the dog tag style.
I wonder if I should have gotten the purple for the extra power!

HAHA! I really LOLed at this. If it's a turbo booster I'll be wearing like 5 of those at my next race.

Something about them that is really appealing to kids. My boys are asking for them too - but not purple!

So funny. I've been meaning to get my girlies each one too. I know they'll love it. Their bdays are coming up. I may get them one as a part of their gifts.

Is the speed color sensitive? I mean is purple the only turbo booster or is say orange fast too? Mine is yellow. How much extra speed are we talking here? I really could have used this knowledge last weekend! ;-)

That is such a cute story! I love the things that kids say! My boys say the funniest things sometimes and I wish I could remember them all and write them in their baby books, but I always forget...:(
