Three Things Thursday ...

Can I just say that I am psyched it's already Thursday? J has been out of town all week (he'll finally be home tonight), which means I have been dealing with the drama-fest that is my life, singlehandedly. And let's just say that the girls have been a handful this week. Especially a little blonde cherub who will remain nameless. But enough of my complaining, onto Three Things Thursday ...

1. On Tuesday, MCM Mama tagged me to share the view from my kitchen window. Now, I will warn you it's not much of a view. I live in a subdivision. Nothing exciting. But here it is, the view out my kitchen window ...
And since I am in a sharing mood, here's the view from my front door. I heart my neighborhood.
2. Dilly has found a new favorite snack. Chocolate Outrage Gu. Here she is enjoying it after our eight miler on Tuesday.
Don't you think she should be the new spokesmodel? I mean, really, who wouldn't want to purchase a product she endorses?

3. I am going to qualify for Half Fanatic status this weekend. On Sunday, I will be pacing J in his first half, the Marine Corps Half Marathon (My second half in eight days). I'm so excited for him and totally scared for me. If you haven't realized yet, I am slightly competitive. And I have no problem pushing my competitiveness on others (just ask G and Katye). I really want to help him do his best and for him to enjoy the experience, but sometimes I can "push" to hard. And I don't want that to happen.

But regardless of my performance as a pacer, I promise you one thing. We are going to look good. I promise coordinated outfits (and no he's not wearing a skirt, I tried, but he wasn't having it). Anyway, it will be fantastic. Nothing like this clash fest from one of our training runs ...

I am so thankful my husband does not travel... if he did, we would definitely have to get a treadmill.

I cannot wait to see those matching outfits.

Ugh - I know exactly what you mean. Dad Wonder is out of town alot. He's actually missed almost 3 whole years of our married life, so I feel for you with the 3 kiddos! What a cute spokesperson for GU!

Good luck to the hubs this weekend!

When my dad and I run together, sometimes he "pushes" a little too hard (see my Three Things Thursday for the full story there). It's ok though because I know he means well.
And I can't wait to see the outfits either.

you know my kids are typically pretty good too until my husband is gone and it is always my little blonde one who is nuts......maybe it's the hair color?? Maybe they are really trying to have more fun? ha Just teasing you I am glad he comes home tonight! Have a great pace race this weekend!

Love the Fanatic status - totally rockstar!!!
And I'm excited to see the outfits - you inspire me to look better on my runs, and trust me, that says a LOT!
Oh, one more thing, I LOVE all the green trees in your yard! Wait until you see the saddness that is my back yard and front yard - honey, you don't know subdivision or suburban living until you see mine!
Happy Thursday!

Great job solo parenting this week. I have to admit that I like when hubbs is away (some not as much as he is often away but...). I enjoy getting into my routine with life, work, school, running, the kids and making it all fit. When you add another adult to my mix it really uses up time that I don't have scheduled! That sounds bad but I just mean my spouse wants to talk and spend time together. Throughout the work week aside from once we go to bed, I don't have a spare 10 minutes to chat. But when he is home somehow we juggle the chores and find that time in there most days. And I like that I still miss him when he is away. I like that his absence reminds me to appreciate him or all he does to help me "fit it all in."

You have a spokesmodel there for sure.

You will do great knowing when to push and when to encourage. I think you will have an amazing run. Enjoy it!

My hubby travels 4-5 days/wk in the winter and works 80 hour weeks in the summer, so I FEEL your pain! Glad he'll he home tonight!!

Good luck this weekend!! And have fun!

My girls love my gels too =)I would by GU from your little spokesmodel for sure!

Have fun pacing. I did that for a marathon my husband ran many moons ago and it was one of the most frustrating things that I've ever done as a runner. But would I do it again? Definitely.

I hope J. is wearing socks to match yours.

That is seriously the cutest picture :)!! Good luck, to both of you, on your race this weekend!
