Run U Mother Giveaway ...

Recently, in my never ending search for the ultimate in running apparel, I stumbled upon a "mom-centric" company called Run U Mother and I was instantly in love with the adorable products.

Run U Mother is an athletic wear company that produces athletic clothing and accessories in a fun, cheeky way to keep moms motivated. Created to give moms work out clothes that look good going from the gym to the grocery store (or to a playgroup), their products add style and attitude to the active-minded mom!

But, Run U Mother is becoming more. It's becoming a mantra of moms as they dig into that last mile. And now, you have a chance to sport your very own Run U Mother gear (winner's choice).

Entry is simple. Become a follower of this blog (or let me know that you already are) and in the same comment, tell me your fitness mantra. Entries will be accepted until Sunday, July 4th. The winner will be announced on Monday, July 5th.

To learn more about Run U Mother, you can check out their Facebook page HERE.

My mantra? Hmmmm I say different things like, "keep going, just keep going" and "faint, puke or die" which is a shorter version of Jillian Michael's quote -paraphrased - Unless you faint, puke or die, you better keep going.

My mantra is "borrowed" from Tony from P90X: "You can do anything for 30 seconds." It's especially helpful for hill and interval workouts (I try to ignore that both of those take longer than 30 seconds!). It's a little less helpful for long runs!

I think I should win just simply because I said tushie in my mantra :)
Seriously though, I always try to keep remember how awful it is to want to run but not be able to - how lucky we are to be healthy enough to run!

AND sorry in advance but this is my mantra [quote from Marianne Williamson]
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

My Mantra...hmm...I have never really thought of one... but something I have started to do to combat my competitiveness out on the trail is to realize that I don't know how far someone else has gone, how far they are going, or what they are training for, but I know my goals and I am only competing against myself...in a race, it is a whole different ball game!

Tortuga_Runner said...

I am a follower.

2 mantras:

My body loves to run, I run (blank) miles for fun.
*I came up with this one when pregnant, BODY used to be BABY and I would say WE. Just insert your distance and you've got yourself a mantra.

Other mantra:

You can walk at the next...tree, corner, light post. You name the spot and it'll usually keep me going.

Anonymous said...

I'm a follower....duh.

My current mantra is: Keep running fatty. I don't tell very many people that because it sounds so depressing and un-supportive. But hey, it works!

My favorite mantra...
Man Up!

Michelle said...

Follower!

I envision myself crossing the finish line over and over again. That keeps me going.

New follower here!

This is kinda weird, but a word I say to myself on a hard run/race/day/whatever is "buttercream." The word instantly relaxes me and conjures up all sorts of delicious images in my mind.
