3TT: pieces of awesome edition ...

1. Remember this picture of me on Sleeper?

Well, apparently my friends saw my suffering and are helping me upgrade. Earth Momma Mer's husband couldn't take my use of towels as aerobar stand ins, so he passed along the set he had purchased and didn't like. I installed them on Wednesday and I LOVE THEM.

In addition, SpeeDee informed me that she will come over today with a new seat for me. Actually, two. And whichever one fits, I get to keep. My very bruised back side is beyond grateful for this gesture. I am a lucky girl. My friends are freaking amazing.

2. I am racing my "A" half on Saturday. I feel that unless we get a crazy hot and humid day on Saturday (which does happen in VA), I think this is my best attempt at a sub 1:55 at least until the fall/winter. The course is perfect. I'm running with KC and I'm ready to go. The major issue right now - I have NO IDEA what I am wearing. This is so unlike me. Throw out some color suggestions or something ...

3. I have decided to register Dizzle for her first 5K on April 30th. I am going to run it with her and we plan on implementing a 4:1 run/walk ratio. I'm pumped for her. I know she will do awesome and since there are only like three other kids in the 5-9 age group, she could walk away winning her age group. At least that's my goal ...

I'd go with a orange/pink combo for your sub 1:55. Because you will run a sub 1:55. :)

I'm a pink and black girl myself....might be leaving my comfort zone though for my 10k before Easter and work in some yellow! Good luck this weekend!!!

I need friends like you.

Outfit: Hmmm.... I like blues right now.

5k: So cool... my daughter was interested in walking the 5k... lol

What about a purple? Or pink and gray? Maybe I should go back to the picture of all your skirts...

I LOVE that Dizzle loves to run- I hope my girls will want to do that too!!

I say wear red. It says killer, confident attitude and strength! You are definitely ready for this.

this is an awesome three things!

I wish I'd started racing as a kid, I probably would have gotten into running WAY faster.

Hahaha, "your goal" - I love it! My oldest gal is running her first 5k this weekend and I'm beyond excited for her. I wanted to run with her but Hubby "forbade" it saying that I'd scare too many people - I am 2 weeks away from my due date, alas. He does have a point considering the people at the grocery store practically follow me around with a bucket and mop in case my water breaks while I'm there. Sheesh. There's no dignity anymore.

I like how you put that, "A" half! Hoping the humidity stays away, I now understand how awful it is running in that kind of weather.

I know you'll get that sub 1:55, it's time.

Can I have your friends when you're done with them?

I'm pumped for your half this weekend! You've got this b!tch in the bag.

1:55 should be in the bag, except for one thing - have you been paying attention to the weather forecast? Temps will be around 60, but there's a good chance of thunderstorm and rain that morning (or if not, it will be humid). And wind will be a large factor (steady 15+ in the forecast).

Be smart, if the weather doesn't cooperate. There is always the MCM/Historic Half in Fredericksburg (5/15) or inaugural Run for the Dream in Williamsburg (5/22) before the weather gets too hot.

You don't happen to have camo, do you? You're running through a swamp, after all.

You do have amazing friends!

I say bright see-it-from-space orange. (S'ghetti G's soccer uniform is that color and I LOVE it!)

A 5k! Wow. Your kids are amazing. I'm not suprised, though.
