What do you eat?

Last week, Marlene posted what she eats on a typical day. And since food is central to my thoughts every waking moment of every single day, I thought it would be fun to play along. So, here's what I eat on a normal day, whether I am training or not (yes, I'm boring and I tend to rotate a few items in and out) ...

Our pantry (a reference of how much food we usually have on hand)

Breakfast - Coffee with Splenda and fat-free half and half, Luna Protein Bar - Cookie Dough, Black Cherry Chobani yogurt

Mid-morning Snack - Gala apple

Lunch - Thomas Bagel Thin with hummus and feta cheese, baby carrots, strawberries (Ignore the stained place mat. It's a hazard of having children.)

Afternoon Snack - Pop Secret Homestyle Popcorn, Fiber One bar

Dinner - Morningstar Farms Black Bean Burger topped with pineapple, banana peppers, cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce, broccoli

Dessert - Chocolate Espresso cupcake from Two Sweet Cupcakes

oh man, i should do this for a day, although it would probably be horrifying. i eat the same thing about 80% of my day.

FUN! As you know, I am also food obsessed so I love these posts!

We are more week-to-week shoppers and really don't have much to show for in our pantry. Actually, sometimes we are "day to day" shoppers... I've been known to hit the gorcery store up to 5 times in one week.

We eat a LOT of the same things over and over again. I'm thinking of photographing what I eat on a daily basis because something's gotta give.

I eat the same exact things every single day. It's suprising, but I don't get tired of it wither.

I am a creature of habit and eat the same thing... almost all the time.

(PS - you are always saying you eat junk, but that doesn't look like too bad of a day to me)

For breakfast I usually have either cereal and yogurt or banana, pb and toast. Snacks are generally clementines (I LOVE them) and lunch and dinner depend on what I have in the fridge/freezer to eat. Often time I will destroy a bag of salad and/or a bag of carrots and hummus as well.

We eat the same thing over and over again... unless we go out. My husband only eats seafood and my kids barely touch meat or vegetables, so it leaves me making 3 meals.

I <3 luna protein bars... my breakfast EVERYDAY!

I am so boring...I eat the same thing every single day just about and then try to change up dinner for the hubby. Otherwise I think I would eat the same for dinner too! It is just easier for me to count calories and stay on track!

That cupcake looks so yummy!

So I could basically copy and paste this entire post (aside from the diapers and child-stained place mat, mine would be husband stained) because we eat the EXACT same things!

I love the shot of your pantry! I can't relax unless the pantry, fridge, or freezer is overflowing (preferably all three).

Interesting. I do NOT eat the same thing, unless I absolutely HAVE to. I don't like it. But, I also love to cook and experiment, and our diet is very veggie-centric. I buy most of our food at the farmers market once a week, and we have very few pre-made/boxed items.

That cupcake looks divine.

this is a great idea and has inspired me to take pics of what I eat today and post it tomorrow. I tend to go in phases with what I eat... I'll eat the same thing for weeks and then change it up

When I'm in training there is literally no difference in menu during the week whatsoever. Creature of habit right over here. And I LOVE the homestyle popcorn too! Yum!!!

I hardly ever eat the same thing day to day, I should I think I would be thinner! One day I should photograph everything I ate, I have a feeling I eat more per day than I really realize, iykwim?

For some unknown reason I've gained 7 pounds so I have started back on Lean for Life (sorta, since I have the big race Saturday I have been having more carbs the past few days). To be honest I was trying to lose 10 so the spike was very frustrating. I diet is usually very calorically low. I have had a problem with hitting a starvation mode before and had my weight shoot up. Hopefully I can get back on track without a trip to the doctors again. Ugh! Forced eating plan stinks since I live on veggies & fruit, simple protiens and peanut butter with the occansionally indulgences like homemade rise krispie treats or lasanga.

I eat the same thing over and over but it tends to cycle depending on the week...if that makes sense lol!

Our pantry has a stockpile of the most random things I have ever seen atm so I have to rectify that soon!

I try to eat better but I am not definitely just trying to do better nutritionally. Since I am not an uber runner yet I can't say I eat to run.

I sort of have a framework for what I eat everyday. Then I plug in based on the choices I have on hand.

Glad to see others enjoying Gala apples. I worked in a produce department for two years and I ate a LOT of fruit for "testing" purposes. Gala are hands down the best!

My daily diet changes every day. Yesterday I had ice cream cake for dinner (I did plan on making burgers, just got distracted and the lack of hunger opted for no real dinner).

During training, I tend to eat a lot healthier (more fruits/veggies, lots of fish, salads often [even for breakfast].

I definitely eat the same exact thing everyday...except when I'm out of town.
And Kurt.... Fuji apples are the best eva!!!! Even better than Gala!
I am always so curious what people eat training time especially! Great post!

I pretty much have the same thing for breakfast and lunch every day, but I try to have some variety with dinner. Though I bet if I really sat down and thought about it my list of dinners would be a lot shorter than I think it is.

Black Cherry Chobani!! My store only has blueberry, peach, strawberry and vanilla. Definitely time to move east.

I'm not boring, just have a dependable routine! ;)

I kinda grocery shop out of my pantry. Well, really my food storage since my pantry is smaller and up in the kitchen. We stock up big time when stores have case lot sales or great prices on many of our regular items, and buy in bulk (when it's a good deal) so that we only do one big grocery trip a month and little trips as needed for fresh produce, etc, though we can often avoid those when we do the local produce co-op. It's nice since our closest grocery store is 15min away, and helps cut down on all my impulse buys!

ahhh! I totally eat the same things ALL the time. It is so sad. Plus I live alone and look like I have enough food for a family of 5!?! I am obsessed with eating and buying food. I try to eat the same all year but it changes depending on whether I am tired of things or not!

YOur meal resembles nothing "Boring" very cool.. We eat the same thing.. I have a salad pretty much every day..

I'm a creature of habit and tend to eat the same few things for breakfast every day, rotating depending how much time I have. Dinner is something different every night though because I'm not sure if the hubby would go for eating the same thing all the time. My only criteria is that it be fast to make - the less chopping required, the better. I didn't see a bun with your burger -do you skip it?

My breakfast repeats itself - oats or wheatbix Monday to Friday and scrambled eggs with veggies at the weekend. Snacks and Dinners tend to depend on what's in the fridge and how my day looks like. The cupcake looks delicious - I think I'm going to have to bake some this week. :)

I eat way too much every day. Mostly all healthy, but my meals and snacks are pretty big. Nice post - it prompted me to blog about my own daily eating routines ... and maybe analyze myself a bit!
