run like a princess ...

Things have been busy around here celebrating Dilly's birthday and everything, so this will be short and sweet.

This morning we had Dilly's "Over the Rainbow" first birthday party. For two hours, my house was full of children ages five months to five years. It was loud to say the least. But, everyone seemed to have fun. And really, isn't that what birthdays are all about? Well, that and cake?

And speaking of birthdays, I got an early birthday present today from J. As of this morning, I am officially registered in the 2010 Disney Princess Half Marathon!! I am so excited! We are surprising the girls with a trip to Disney for their birthdays/this year's family vacation, and J happened to schedule it for the same weekend as the race. And since we were going to be there anyway, well you get the point. Sweet, right?

And since my dates with Mr. Wave Elixir 4 went so well on Wednesday and Thursday, we might just make our public debut at that race. Because, really, every princess needs her glass (or lightweight, running on clouds) slipper ...

I've heard of the Disney Half, but not a Princess Half, so cool! What a great idea. Can't wait to hear about it! Fun way to race AND enjoy the happiest place on earth. :)

Glad the 1st birthday went great! What did she think of the cake?

I know so many people that are running that (Real life and bloggy life) Its been in the back of my mind ever since I found out about it. Then finding out I won the tutu really made me want to do it so I think I'm going to see if mom and dad will pay for the entrance fee. I only live a couple of hours from Disney so it won't be too bad. What a fun vacation and birthday present :)

That's so awesome. I'm sooooo jealous! Do you get to wear a tiara?

Doesn't runningskirts.com sell skirts with tiaras on them? That would be super cute! I really want to do that race someday. You will have such a blast!

Happy Birthday, Dilly!

I co-authored a book called Run Like a Mother, coming out March 23. I’d love to have publicist send you a copy for possible review. Could you please email me your mailing address (pls. include your blog name as well) at bowenshea [at] gmail? Thanks!

I'm running at race with TNT! I'm so excited maybe I will find you (which I most likely will because you will be the best dressed). I've actually already started planning my race oufit out with you in mind. I found AWESOME knee high socks at DIck's Sporting Goods (I think they are socer socks) tie dyed in Purple and Teal (TNT colors)!

thats so funny I was thinking the same thing! Beauty and the Beast was my first movie I ever saw in a theater and I grew up thinking I was Belle. Its sad. My boyfriend actually calls me belle. but I have the yellow princess skirt from runnin skirts! but I gotta rep my TNT purple. And i've been trying to figure out how to work a tiara while running...hmmmm
