Oh wait, I know, turn 30 and rock out your first 70.3.
But first, let's rehash 2011. In the past 12 months ...
- I killed my first 15K in 1:15:41 (8:07 pace), proving that given the right conditions, I am way faster than I think.
- Dilly turned 2.
- I turned 29.
- Dizzle got in trouble for the first and so far, only, time at school for kissing, not one, but two boys.
- I set a new half marathon PR at the Disney Princess Half (1:57:06) in the midst of the stomach flu. Minutes later, I met Ethan Zohn and was asked to join his Grassroot Soccer NYC Marathon Team.
- I ran 22 miles on my treadmill. And 60 miles in one week.
- We celebrated Doodle's 4th birthday.
- I ran the National Marathon and PR'd by over 33 minutes.
- I sent J and Dizzle to Disney for a Father-Daughter birthday weekend.
- I paced Dizzle to a mile PR and her first 5K finish.
- I crashed a mountain bike and separated my shoulder. Then, 10 days later, I had surgery to repair it.
- I watched my first baby turn 6.
- I ran a 5K in a sling.
- Dizzle, Doodle and I were featured in Runner's World.
- J and I celebrated seven years of wedded bliss.
- I went to San Francisco with G for our annual Girls' Race Weekend. We ran the San Francisco Half and hung out with some awesome West Coast Bloggers.
- I registered for my first 70.3.
- I ran Hood to Coast with the awesome ladies of Nuun Platuun.
- I set a new 5K PR and finished third female overall in a race that I didn't tell anyone I was running.
- I dyed my hair. PINK.
- I ran two marathons in a week. First NYC and then Richmond, where I PR'd by 2:56.
- I joined Team Tough Chik (and you can to until Jan. 7th).
- I challenged J to an eating challenge at the Dunkin Donuts Munchkin Run.
- I started 70.3 training and determined that I can, in fact, swim freestyle and I don't immediately sink to the bottom of the pool.
- I won a heck of a lot of cake.
- I showed my kids that it's OK to cry.
- We celebrated Christmas at Walt Disney World.

Not sure how but I'm guessing 2012 will rock even harder for you!!
Loved this!!
70.3!!!!! Here you come!
Holy crap! 2011 was ridiculous for you! Can't wait to see what happens next year.
Also, who knew one would get in trouble for kissing boys at such a young age?
you are right, going to be so hard to compete. Def. an epic year, congrats!
You turned "29" again?
:-)
Happy New Year!
I like kissing boys too, and SF, just sayin'.
You had an awesome year!!! 2012 will be a great one too I'm sure!! :)
Happy training!! :)
I love year end recaps. 2011 was pretty amazing, I am sure 2012 will be as well!
What a great year....wow!
And by USAT standards when you registered for that 70.3 you were already 30....they are always pushing the year on us.....
I think I'm going to be doing my first 70.3 this year too! 2011 was a great year for you but 2012 will be even better!
WOW! Don't know how you can top 2011? Congrats!
You had a fabulous 2011! We're surprising the kids with a trip to Disney in less than 2 weeks, our first, I can't WAIT!
You've had an awesome year and so many great things come your way (well, maybe not the shoulder). 2012 will follow, keep up and pass, I'm sure.
I'm thinking about Team Tough Chik - still not sure.
Awesome year! I am honored to be on Team Tough Chik with you!
I think you said it all with...awesomesauce!!
WOW! 20111 was epic indeed. :)
You did have a pretty epic 2011!! Great job! I am planning to register for Team Tough Chik too (as long as I don't forget before the 7th...) Can't wait to see what you get up to in 2012.
2012 will be different for sure, better too! How could it not?
Dizzle kissed two boys? I must have missed that post. I'm wondering how it's going to be once her hormones actually kick in. Could be a few fun years for you.
Yes, that is awesomesauce. Hopefully Dizzle got it out of her system until she's 25?
That is one impressive year. Two marathons in a week with a pr? Wow! Turning 30 and a 70.3 sounds like a great way to top it!
wow, your year makes me tired. :)
