not the best idea ...

Remember how I told you all I was feeling under the weather? And how I was going wait until Saturday to run? Well, shocker, shocker. That didn't happen. My mom and aunt are in town today and I just wasn't able to pass up the opportunity for a kid-free morning run (and music-free since my iPod was dead - FAIL). Plus, it was like 60 degrees and I was super psyched to test out the Sweaty Bands I received in the mail earlier this week (expect a full review and perhaps a giveaway in the future ...)

So, I put Dilly down for a nap. Got dressed. Look at this spiffy number I put together (the socks are from Little MissMatched picked up in Disney).
I planned on taking my Newtons out for four easy miles. Mile 1 was not so easy. My legs were golden, but I could only make it a few strides before I was hacking up a lung. I considered turning back, but you know me, that wasn't going to happen. So, I trekked on. Eventually, the coughs were farther apart, but they never stopped. And when I ended my run ... well, that was even worse. Let's just say it might not have been the best idea I have ever had ...

(but, in case you were wondering, I still finished the 4 miles in 35:57, 8:59 pace)

I,m pretty sure if you kept going, either: A)then your cough wasn't that bad or B) you were being a stubborn runner! I'm gonna go for a little of each! Love the socks! ;)

Ok, so you are still fast when you are hacking up a lung. If I get coughing, i have to stop or I'll pee myself...

I'm sensing a not-so-good, coughing up a lung theme around here lately. Feel better. Love the ensemble!

Cute outfit. Can't wait to hear about the sweaty bands. I checked out the website. They look cute!

Anyway, that run was totally not a fail! Maybe not the best idea...but not a fail. :) Have a great weekend!

Nice run and GREAT outfit! I *loved* the MissMatched store at Disney but they were all out of adult knee socks. SAD!

Love the socks!! So cute!

I ran a 5k last Saturday with a nasty cough left-over from a cold, bad idea. I'm now on a trio of meds after finally seeing my doctor for shortness of breath this week. He also put me on a running-hiatus until Monday. Stupid coughing. Gets in the way of my running.

Feel better!

Kiddo, your outfits are rockin' it and you are so darn cute! I LOVE your socks. So I found a pair at Target for St. Patty's day and they'd look so cute with the R.G.Skirts...the green plain one. You're outfits inspire! I hope you're feeling better this weekend.

Cute outfit!

You kinda need those lungs to run. So don't cough them up. I know for experince! I ran a marathon with pneumonia it was hard...and I went to the doctor after the race.
